No - mental performance coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or medical care. Although facilitated by a Licensed Professional Counselor, coaching services do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders or medical conditions.
If concerns arise that appear to require mental health counseling, psychological treatment, or medical attention, appropriate referrals may be recommended.

All coaching sessions can take place virtually or in-person. Up North Sport Performance does not have a brick and mortar location. However, sessions can be held in public spaces depending on athlete comfortability.

We recommend services for athletes ages 12 and up. Each athlete is different, and an initial consult will help to determine if mental performance coaching is a good fit.

We offer individual and team mental performance coaching. If you are looking for something different, just ask! One-on-one sessions focus on developing skills to improve motivation, self-confidence, attentional focus, arousal regulation and emotional regulation.

Individual | $130
Team | $300Discounts are provided for multi-session commitments. Sessions are planned to last an hour but may be shortened depending on athlete’s ability and desire to engage in the full duration.

We recommend at least 8 sessions preferably once a week. This time frame allows an athlete to build a solid foundation for lasting change and provide opportunities to learn to effectively transfer skills from session to sport settings.
